Locked bathroom cabinet

The bathroom was old-fashioned, decorated with lots of unnecessary details, just like the whole house. It was quite dark, too, despite the little window near the ceiling. I did not spend much time inside it, I just went there in the morning to brush my teeth, wash my face and took a bath there in the evening. One evening, I was alone in the huge house, so I decided to spend some more time in the bath. I was relaxing in hot water and looking at all those decorations. There were some framed pictures of mermaids on the walls and a very old rug on the floor. There was also a wooden bathroom cabinet. I could see a lock in the cabinet door but there wasn"t a key. I was curious. Perhaps the cabinet was locked? I might check it later, I thought, but I was not sure if that was the right thing to do. I do not usually look inside people"s furniture, believe me, but sometimes curiosity makes me think that I could open it just for a second to see if there is anything interesting inside. As I was taking a bath on that particular evening, such thoughts kept nagging me all the time. But of course, I never opened the bathroom cabinet. I went out of the bath, took my towel, wrapped ir around myself, cleaned the bath and left the bathroom.
